Yes, it was really really really cold Saturday but people still depended on welovetogive.org to have food for them. They came out with their bags and was thanking us for still being available for them during this freezing weather. We served about 35 to 40 people and we stayed as long as we could butterahh then we packed up and got to a warm place quickly as always Thank you for supporting We Love To Give as we support others

Jane Addams Place Shelter Christmas Celebration - December 16th 2025

We Love To Give adopted the Jane Addams Place Shelter where we will conduct programs and activities for the residents there. We had our first holiday event yesterday, Yes! This was my very first time being Santa it was fun all the kids and adults were excited to see what we had setup for them, and all the gifts for everyone. This was truly a blessing for We Love To Give to be able to give back and bring smiles to their faces. We had light snacks, games, Prises and gifts for everyone. This was our board member Tonya project she did a fantastic job

4th Annual Warming Kits Distribution - December 6th 2025

Our 4th Annual Warming Kits drive was a success thanks to everyone who Donated volunteered and spread the word... thank you all...
While we were giving out Winter Warming kits, hygiene products and other items downtown, this person walked up in her socks (which were wet and very cold) We later found out that someone stole her shoes while she was sleeping at a shelter. Immediately every member of Welovetogive.org though the same thing 'we absolutely have to get her some shoes' so we came together, asked her shoes size and Tommy sprung into action and bought these boots from Burlington. I must say Tommy picked out a very nice pair of boots we gave her a couple new pairs of socks and she was very happy as she tried them on I can say we were even happier that we were able to help her... God is good |

Grocery Giveaway at Beloved St. John - November 22nd 2025

Today was our fist time using the ANNEX building on Courtland St and we were hoping people knew we were there. We put signs in our usual spot (the parking lot) and they showed up as always. Giving food is a blessing but running out of food is heartbreaking seems like we can never bring enough... you can help by donating non perishable foods. You can drop off donations at Beloved St. John Evangelistic Church at Broad and Belfield. Please be mindful of expiration dates and dented cans we want it to be enjoyable for everyone. As always, Thank you for supporting We Love To Give.

Thanksgiving Meal Deliveries November 21st 2025
|
We Love To Give delivered 30 Turkey and sides dinners to every section of the city today. From Mt. Airy to Southwest Philly and all in-between. We met some wonderful people along the way and heard some interesting stories. It took 8 hours but it was well worth it. Shanna made the calls and we drove the routes. Meatball Madness @ Love Park - November 1st 2025

Meatball Madness was very busy...and messy somehow I was designated the Meatball dipper. Between the sauce and the parmesan cheese, boy did I make a mess. We fed about 85 people and they took a lot of clothes. It's such a blessing to be able to help others, the smiles and thank you is priceless

Feeding in Portland Maine - August 30th 2025
Shanna and I were on vacation in Portland, Maine, enjoying our time, but we couldn’t ignore the need we saw among the unhoused community. Down by the docks in Old Portland, so many people were asking for food that we decided to stay an extra day just to serve. We made sure at least 50 people received food before we left. A special thank you to Melissa, the front desk clerk at our South Portland hotel, who went above and beyond by asking her manager if she could donate hygiene products to support our mission. We love seeing how one act of kindness can inspire another. This is God’s work, and we’re grateful to do it—because We Love To Give. 💛🙏
We Love To Give School Supply Day at St. Martin de Porres Catholic School

When giving becomes a habit, it's hard to stop. Today we gave away school supplies to the students of St. Martin de Porres School in North Philly. They were outside ready before we were finish setting up. Once we opened the doors, It was on and poppin, we loved giving it away, The smiles and thank you from the students and the parents was well worth it..
Pretzel Day - August 3rd 2025
Pretzel Day was full of giving and receiving, just how it's supposed to be. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shinning with low humidity. We had plenty of volunteers new and old, we appreciate everyone coming out to participate. Special thanks to Dean, Phil, Rich, Pio, TT and Garrett. We had Pretzels, fruit, water, ice tea and free clothes. We had 144 pretzels and gave them all away, Great day all around. Every donation goes towards helping the less fortunate

🌭 Hot Diggidy Dog Day – Serving with Heart and Flavor! On Saturday, July 5th, We Love To Give hit the streets to make a real difference with our Hot Diggidy Dog Day community outreach event! With love, energy, and purpose, we served hot meals—including hot dogs, chips, drinks, and snacks—to over 100 people in need. Thanks to the generous support from our community and the success of our Sneaker Ball fundraiser, we were able to provide not just food, but hope, kindness, and conversation.
💜 Our team and volunteers connected with those facing food insecurity and homelessness—offering a warm meal and a reminder that they are not forgotten. From smiles to full bellies, Hot Diggidy Dog Day was a beautiful example of what happens when community comes together to give back.

🎉 Sneaker Ball 2025 – What a Night! 👟Our 2025 Sneaker Ball was an unforgettable evening filled with joy, music, style, and purpose!
Guests showed up and showed out in their flyest sneakers, walking the red carpet and striking a pose in front of our custom sports-themed photo backdrops. The venue came alive with stunning décor by our event coordinator, Tonya Lewis, and we danced the night away thanks to an incredible set from Steve Djstevied Mcgraw. The food? Absolutely delicious—brought to you by Chef Mir and the amazing team at Flava. Photography by Kato ScaredyKat Pictures perfectly captured every smile, every sneaker, and every unforgettable moment. Special thanks to our honorees Freudeline St Jean and Ilana Tabby, and congratulations to Zeke, the winner of the Sneaker Ball Best Sneaker Award! We also celebrate all of our raffle and prize winners—thank you for bringing the excitement!
But the celebration didn’t stop there...The money raised from this event was put to work immediately. On Saturday, June 5th, we used the funds to serve hot meals to over 100 people in need during our Hot Diggidy Dog Day outreach event.

Winter Warming Kit Day was a huge success! ❄️ The Givers and the Givees met at 16th and Arch, where We Love To Give distributed our Winter Warming Kits. We provided chili, rice, cornbread, juice, water, clothes, blankets, hygiene kits, and more! 🧤🧥🧢🧣🍛🥖👖👔👚👞👡🧦🎁

"The Italian Meal" feeding was a success As soon as we pulled up the Ladies and Gentlemen lined up, thanked and blessed us with their smiles and gratitude. They complimented chef Shanna as they sat and enjoyed the Spaghetti. Special shout out to the police officer who acknowledges us and always let us park to give out the food. Sadly we ran out and couldn't feed everyone, they said it was ok
butterahh it's heartbreaking to turn them away...we'll make more next time!!!!
